Edmond Babin

REXTON, NB- Edmond Babin 79, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center on Sunday, September 13, 2015. Born in Rexton, he was the son of the late Clovis and late Alice (Sawyer) Babin. Before retiring, Edmond was employed as a Shop Forman at Laurentide  for 35 years. He attended Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Rexton.

Edmond was a devoted husband, father and pépère, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie (Richard) Babin; three daughters, Sharon Kelly (late Erven), Maureen Jones (Billy), Christine Blanchard (Donnie); one son, Bradley Babin (late Georgette); seven grandchildren, Randy, Nathan, Robyn, Ashley, Alexandra, Janelle, Samuel; four great grandchildren, Liam, Elina, Aiyana and Emery.

He is also survived by two sisters, Annie Griffin, Theresa Allain (Roland) and several nieces and nephews.

Edmond was predeceased by three brothers, Roger, Henry, Roy and one sister, Clarinda.

Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home in Richibucto with visitation beginning on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Friday from 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 18th at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Rexton. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Donations in Edmond’s memory may be made to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC Palliative Care Unit or donor’s choice and would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto 523-4252.
