Lucie  (Richard) Gallant

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Lucie Gallant, 86, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at La Villa Maria in Saint-Louis on October 27, 2015.  Born in Saint-Charles, she was the daughter of the late Alban Richard and late Marie-Anne (Robichaud) Richard. 

Lucie was a former employee of La Villa Maria in Saint-Louis.  Lucie was a person that loved life very much.  She enjoyed her family and friends.  She had a passion for fishing and gardening. 

She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Gilles (Karen) of Coates Mills, Georges (Jacinthe) of Saint-Louis, Denis (Germaine) of Richibucto; six grandchildren, Mathieu, Simon, Jolaine,  Josée, Joslin, Samuel and two great grandchildren, Alexia and Maxime.  She is also survived by six sisters, Aline Richard (Tim), Jeanne Hebert (Vincent), Sr. Maria Richard f.m.a,, Irène LaPlante (Henri), Marie-Claire LeBlanc (Gilles), Denise Fenety (Rod); three brothers, Norbert Richard (late Elaine), Leonard Richard (Jeanne), Claude (late Debbie); two sisters-in-law, Casilda, Regina and several nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph Gallant (2011), one sister Eveline Doiron and four brothers, Yvon, Jean, Gérard and Marcel Richard (2015). 

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 7-9, Friday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th, 2015 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  In her memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.  Arrangements are in the care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
