Mathilda Augustine

ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Mathilda Augustine 55, of Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center on Thursday, February 11, 2016.  Born in Bouctouche, NB she was the daughter of Freeda (Sanipass) Francis. 

Mathilda will be sadly missed by her husband, Henry J. Augustine; one daughter, Selena Augustine & granddaughter, Jennifer Tayah Sanipass; one son, Scott Sanipass (Shauna); five grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

She is also survived by four sisters, Valerie Sanipass, Angeline Levi (Ivan), Deborah Legassee (Hubert), Lana Francis (Adam); one brother, Ernest Henry Legasse (Lori), several nieces and nephews and her Jubb Family – eight brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law. 

She was predeceased by one daughter, Jennifer Denise Sanipass and one son, Gerald "Myers". 

Resting at her home at 83 Bridge Road, Elsipogtog, with visitation beginning on Saturday at 10:00 am until time of the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 10:00 am, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
