REXTON – James K. McWilliam, 95, of
Rexton, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital,
Ste. Anne de Kent, on February 19th, 2016. Born
in Fords Mills, he was the son of the late Frederick and Jenny (Cail)
McWilliam. Jim was a business owner, a flight engineer with the Royal
Canadian Air Force, a member of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge #16 as well
as a charter member of Rexton Lions Club. Jim was an avid sports fan,
always faithful to his Montreal Canadiens.
Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife,
Myrtle (nee Little); his three sons, Donald James (Margaret) of Upper
Rexton, Kenneth Frederick (Barbara) and John Albert (Karen) both of
Riverview; his six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; his
sister, Edna Douglas (late John) of New Glasgow, NS; his brother
Thomas Frederick (late Freda) of Fords Mills; as well as by several
nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jim is predeceased by two
brothers, Arnold Douglas and Ronald
Franklin.
Visitation for Jim will be held at
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto, on Tuesday from 2-4 and
7-9pm. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February
24th, 2016 at 2:00pm at St. Andrew’s
United Church, Rexton, with Rev. Brian Curtis officiating. Donations
to St. Andrew’s United Church, Rexton, would be appreciated
