Leon Daigle

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Leon Daigle 81, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Saturday, April 9, 2016.  Born in Saint Charles, NB he was the son of the late Fred Daigle and late Odelie (Daigle) Daigle.  Leon had been employed at Hannay’s Ltd., Lounsbury’s and was the owner/operator of Daigle Auto Repair until his retirement. 

Leon will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Dolorice (Richard) Daigle; one daughter, Yvonne Daigle (Danny); one son, Jean Daigle (Bernadette) all of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Lyne, Marc, Janice and one great grandson, Olivier. 

He is also survived by four sisters, Lilianne Daigle (Joe) of Aldouane, Eva Robichaud (late Albert) of Richibucto, Alina Comeau (late Yvon) (Joe Allain) of St. Ignace, Dora Chevarie (Jimmy) of St. Louis; three brothers, Alderic Daigle (late Melina) of St. Louis, Sylvestre Daigle (Annoncia) of St. Charles, Alpha Daigle of St. Charles; three sisters-in-law, Victoire Daigle, Marie-Anne Daigle and Emma Daigle. 

Besides his parents, Leon was predeceased by one infant son, Jean; infant sister, Yvonne and brothers, Vincent, Pascal, Bernard, Henri (late Evelyne). 

Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent with visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Tuesday at 9:00 am until time of the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 11:00 am, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  Donations in Leon`s memory may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Special thank you to Dr. Ronald Fontaine and the nursing staff at the Stella Maris Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Leon.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
