Leonard Daigle

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Leonard Daigle 67, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital on Monday, April 25, 2016.  Born in Laketon, he was the son of the late Joseph Daigle and late Dorina Hébert.  Leonard was employed as a fisherman.  He attended St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church. 

Leonard will be sadly missed by his special partner, Rosella Martin of St. Louis; five daughters, Rose Weaver (Troy) of Moncton, Marie Robichaud (Bernard) of St. Louis, Barbara Daigle (Mario)of St. Louis, Patsy Gallant of Riverview, Peggy Thebeau (Paul) of Oromocto; two sons, Emile Daigle (Nadia) of St. Antoine, Alfred Dugas (Danielle) of St. Louis; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 

He is also survived by five brothers, Douglas (Denise) of St. Charles, Richard (Therese) of St. Louis, Guy (Anne) of St. Louis, Leemond (Ida) of Richibucto, Roy (Cécile) of Rogersville, many nieces, nephews, step daughter, Cordelia Martin (Eric) of Moncton; two step sons, Placide Manuel (Jocelynn) of Bouctouche, Mike Martin of Bouctouche and eight step grandchildren. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Donald. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Saturday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 am, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  Special thank you to Dr. Pierre LeBlanc and the nursing staff at the Stella Maris Hospital and also the Extra Mural nurses for their kind and compassionate care of Leonard.  Donations in Leonard’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
