Leonard Augustine
1932-2016
ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Leonard Augustine 84 of Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Born in Big Cove, he was the son of the late Peter Augustine and late Mary Catherine (Clair) Augustine. Before retiring, Leonard was employed as a foreman at CMHC Housing in Elsipogtog. He was also a devoted organist for many years at St. Anne`s Roman Catholic Church.
Leonard will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Norma Augustine; one daughter, Lenore Augustine (Blayne) of Elsipogtog, one son, Stephen Augustine (Betty) of Calgary; stepchildren, Betty Murphy (Reg), Stafford Betts (Becky), Louis Augustine, Alice Augustine, Gregory Augustine, Jeff Augustine, Raymond Augustine, Carolyn Thomas; brother-in-law, Levi Milliea and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Irene, Bertha and Rosie.
Resting at his residence at 20 Bridge Road, Elsipogtog beginning on Monday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10:30 am, St. Anne`s Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Arrangements are in care of Thompson`s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
