Charles Leo  Donaher

TARGETTVILLE, NB – Charles Donaher 88, of Rexton (formerly of Targettville) passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Saturday, July 30, 2016.  Born in Targettville, he was the son of the late Frank Donaher and late Rhoda (Thompson) Donaher.  

Charley was a farmer all his life and lived on the family farm in Targettville.  He was well known in the farming community.  Charley also worked for the Department of Transportation.  Family was very important to Charley and he was always "the go to guy" for family history. 

Charley will be sadly missed by his three sisters, Kathleen Flanagan (late Edward), Ethel Donaher, Essie Barnes (late Carl); two brothers, Joseph Donaher, Stuart Donaher and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Charley was predeceased by nine brothers, William (Ruth), Patrick, Edward (Janet), Robert, Ernest, Patrick, Robert, Richard (Leona), George, Ambrose, Hugh and one sister, Dorothea Thurrott (Gordon). 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Brown’s Yard and will be officiated by the Reverend Christopher Ketch.  Donations is Charley’s memory may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery Fund or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rexton Lions Nursing Home for their care and the compassion shown to Charley during his time in their care. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
