Joanne Richard

RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Joanne Richard, age 73, of Richibouctou-Village, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer.  Born in Rexton, she was the daughter of the late Fred Allain and late Regina (Blanchard) Allain.  She attended St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church.

Joanne will be sadly missed by her five daughters, Kristine Deveau (Fernand) of Ste-Anne-de-Kent, Charline Richard of Moncton, Debbie Richard of Calgary, Jacqueline Richard of Calgary,  Rejéanne Thomas (George) of Moncton; one son, Gonzague Richard (Sophie Gauvin) of Edmonton; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She is also survived by one sister, Marie LeBlanc (Laurie) of St. Edouard; one brother, Terrance Allain (June Ross) of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eugere Richard; one granddaughter, Crystal; one sister, Rosaline; one brother, James and two sisters in infancy, Viola and Annie.

Visitation will be held at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Monday from 2:00 pm until time of the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 4:00 pm, St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou-Village.  If so desired, donations to the family would be appreciated.
