Irene Nowlan

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Irène Nowlan, age 89, of Cocagne passed away peacefully at the Dr. George-L. Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton on Sunday, September 11, 2016.  Born in Acadieville, she was the daughter of the late Simon and late Marie (Johnson) Daigle.  

Irène will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Linda Devine (Tim) of Sussex, Diane Nowlan (Steve Dalglish) of Ajax, ON, Annette Nowlan of Cocagne; two sons, Armand Nowlan (Janet) of Cambridge, ON, James "Jimmy" Nowlan of Moncton; twelve grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Micheal, Brent, Tanya, Teralyn, Patrick, Trudee, Kristopher, Jenifer, Justin, Samuel, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. 

She is also survived by two sisters, Roseline Babineau (late Emile) of Ste. Anne, Imelda Daigle (Lionel Raymond) of Quebec, two sisters-in-law, Rita & Eveline both of St. Louis and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Firmin Nowlan; three brothers, Arsène, Fidèle, Emile; two half-brother, Joseph, Nazaire; three half-sisters, Yvonne, Ludivine and Marguerite. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Thursday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00 am, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Dumont Hospital would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson`s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
