Jean Agnes Marsden

MONCTON, NB – Jean Marsden, age 80, of Moncton passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 surrounded by her caring children and her dear dear friend Louise.  Born in Kouchibouguac, she was the daughter of the late Hazen MacDonald and late Alberta (Patterson) MacDonald.  Before retiring, Jean was employed at the Palace Grill, where she was well known as the big blonde with the smile and laughter and who touched so many lives of the ones she met, as well as her dedicated circle of friends. Jean was also a business owner.  She was an avid card player.

Jean will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Cheryl Maillet (Clarence), Verna Talbot (Pat LeBlanc) both of Moncton; three sons, Keith Marsden, Kenneth Marsden both of Ontario, Lee Marsden; six grandchildren, Kory, Keshia, Kenneth, André, Joseé, Lucien and six great grandchildren, Emma, Abigail, Sydney, Nicholas, Soleil and Lily.

The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Keith MacDonald.

In keeping with Jean’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.  The family wish to express a sincere thank you to the staff on 4200 and also special thanks to nurse Kevin for his kind and compassionate care of Jean and the support he offered.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
