Thomas Frederick McWilliam

FORD’S MILLS, NB – Thomas Frederick McWilliam 98, of Ford’s Mills, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Friday, October 21, 2016.  Born in Ford’s Mills, he was the eldest son of the late Frederick and late Jennie (Cail) McWilliam and the husband of the late Freda (MacGregor) McWilliam (2011). 

Tom was a farmer and lumberman and spent his entire life on the family farm.  A man of deep faith, he read the bible every day.  He also kept up with the latest news and enjoyed music, having played the accordion in his younger years. 

Tom will be sadly missed by his sister, Edna Douglas (late John) of New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Myrtle (late Jim) of Rexton and his nieces and nephews, Don, Ken, John, Fred and Mike McWilliam; Marilyn (Burgess), Linda (Rice), Heather, Libby and Rob Douglas and their families.  Besides his wife and parents, Tom is predeceased by his three brothers, Arnold (2008), Ronald (2014) and Jim (2016). 

The family would like to extend their special thanks to his care givers, Sandra Thompson, Pamela Morris and Elaine Bona who made it possible for him to remain in his own home. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).  There will be visitation with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm, St. Andrew’s United Church, Rexton officiated by Reverend A. D. Sutherland and Reverend Cecil Symes.  In lieu of flowers donations to St. Andrew’s United Church would be appreciated.  Interment will be at the Ford’s Mills Church Cemetery.
