Zoël Richard

SAINT-IGNACE, NB – Zoël Richard, 70, of St-Ignace, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne on Wednesday, October 26^th, 2016. Born in St-Ignace, he is the son of Edith (Richard) and the late Albert Richard of St-Ignace.  

He is well known for being a dedicated farmer. Before retiring, Zoël worked at and managed various dairy and cattle farms, crop farms and the St-Ignace Golf Course. He always enjoyed being on his woodlot, walking between the trees or cutting firewood. 

Zoël will be sadly missed by his mother, Edith Richard of Foyer Bois Joli, St-Louis; daughter, Danielle Richard (late Elwyn Loewen) of Moncton; two sons, Gérald Richard (Chantal Gallant) of St-Ignace and Claude Richard (Sheila Richard) of Dieppe; four grandchildren, Mathieu, Julien, Colin and Sonia; three sisters, Yvonne Richard of Moncton, Loretta Richard (Alonzo) and Denise Richard (Bob) both of St-Ignace; four brothers, Paul Richard (Alice) of Richibucto, Adrien Richard (Eva) and Luc Richard (Paulette) both of St-Ignace, Alexandre Thebeau of Toronto as well as by several nieces and nephews and very close friends. 

Other than by his father, Zoël is predeceased by his brother, Gérald Richard. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent Sunday from 7:00-9:00 pm and Monday from 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 31^st, 2016 at 4:00 pm, St-Ignace-de-Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St-Ignace. Donations in memory of Zoël made to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
