Paul "Rabbit" Joseph Gerard Robichaud

REXTON, NB – It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Paul "Rabbit" Robichaud, at the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital on Tuesday, December 27^th, 2016 at the age of 65. Paul was born in Rexton, but resided in Richibouctou-Village with his wife Sharon (née Mazerolle). He was the son of the late Henry and Marie (Richard) Robichaud.

Paul loved the sea; he was a sailor at heart, having attained his Master Mariner Certification. He was employed with Fisheries and Oceans, then later with the Canadian Coast Guard, to finally retire from Transport Canada. His time spent at "The Cottage" with his family and friends was treasured.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; and his two daughters, Melissa Robichaud (Ryan) of Cap-Lumiere and Jocelyn Robichaud of Montreal, QC. He also leaves behind his sister, Karen Robichaud (Drew) of Upper Rexton; four brothers, Ron (Joanne) of Richibucto, Rob (Kathy) of Coles Harbour, NS, David (Rhonda) of Dixon Point and Danny (Meg) of Halifax, NS; as well as several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Paul will be resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Friday from 6:00-9:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31^st, 2016 at 11:00 am, at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton. Donations in Paul’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
