Antoine Daigle

RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Antoine Daigle 87, of Richibouctou-Village passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac on Thursday, December 29, 2016.  Antoine was the son of the late Edouard and late Melina Desroches (Daigle).  Before retiring, Antoine was a fisherman.  He was an avid volunteer and he loved spending time making replicas of old ships.  He was a member of the Richiboucto-Village Golden Age Club and attended St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic in Richibouctou-Village. 

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Lucie (Maillet) Daigle of Richibouctou-Village; two sisters, Alice Cormier (late Alcide) of Rexton, Claudia Doucette (late Georges) of Halifax and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Doris, Flavie, Dorilla, Cecile and predeceased by one brother, Aurele. 

Visitation will be held at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Wednesday at 9:00 am until time of the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11:00 am, St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou-Village.  Donations in Antoine's memory may be made to the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church or to the Stella Maris Hospital would be appreciated.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
