Adelard Meunier

8SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Adelard Meunier 80, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 11, 2017 surrounded by his family.  Born in Laketon, NB he was the son of the late Theodore Meunier and late Rosie (Doiron) Meunier.   Before retiring, Adelard was a "jack of all trades".  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his buggy and skidoo and playing crib and bing. 

Adelard will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Elda Stafford (late Bryan) of Fredericton, Lisa Robichaud (Rejean) of Calgary, Rhea Meunier (Fernand) of Aldouane; three sons, Douglas (Sylvia) of St. Louis, Roger (Nancy) of Richibucto, Raymond of Hamilton; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  

Adelard is also survived by one sister; Geralda Heffler (late David) of St. Louis; four brothers, Edouard (Betty) of Laketon, Everard (Alice) of St. Charles, Eugene (Ann) of Calgary, Paul of Thunder Bay and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, Adelard was predeceased by his wife, Clara (Martin) Meunier; one great grandchild; two sisters, Elodie Barrieau, Emerise Barrieau and two brothers, Ronald and Joe. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Saturday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:30 am, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  Donations in Adelard’s memory may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
