Elias LeBlanc

RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Elias LeBlanc, 93, passed away peacefully at la Villa Maria, St.-Louis-de-Kent on Saturday, February 18th, 2017. Born in Richibouctou-Village, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Eva (Leger) LeBlanc. Elias was a World War II Veteran (Army) and was lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #30 (Richibucto) and also a member of the Club d’Age d’Or. Before retiring, Elias worked as a carpenter.

Elias is survived by four sisters, Annette Saulnier (late William) of Moncton, Jeannine Richard (Euclide), Marie Richard (Leondre) and Alphonsine Allain (late Vincent), all of Richibouctou-Village; five brothers, Alcide (Alice), Abel (Gemma), both of Richibouctou-Village, Leo (Andrea) of Richibucto, Gerard (Ida) of Richibouctou-Village and Raoul of Saint-Louis; as well as by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Elias is predeceased by his first wife Delima (Dunn) and his second wife Geneva (Boudreau); three sisters, Leontine, Bertha and baby Alphonsine; and four brothers, Yvon, Zoel, Adolphe and Rheal.

Visitation will be held at the St-Antoine-de-Padoue slumber room, Richibouctou-Village on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017 at 11:00 am, St-Antoine-de-Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou-Village.
