Ida Richard

RICHIBUCTO, NB – Ida Richard 77, of Richibucto passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.  Born in Claire-Fontaine, she was the daughter of the late Francis Richard and late Lena Daigle.  

Ida will be sadly missed by her two sons, Richard Belec, Michael Belec (Georgia) both of Montreal and two granddaughters, Joanna-Maria and Elleni. 

She is also survived by five sisters, Lorraine Blanchard of Rexton, Germaine Thompson (Lee) of St. Catherine’s, ON, Diana LeBlanc (Kerr) of Miramichi, Maria Richard (Jim) of Halifax, Linda Pahl (Larry) of Alberta; three brothers, André Richard (Edith) of Aldouane, France Richard (Mary Jane) of Saint John, Donald Richard (Linda) of Richibucto and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Friday from noon until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto.  The family wish to express a special thank you to Father Mercier and the staff at the Stella Maris Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Ida.  Also thank you to the staff at Thompson’s Funeral Home for their professional service.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
