Eveline Daigle

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Eveline Daigle, 97, of Saint-Louis passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Villa Maria, on Monday, March 6 2017.  Born in Saint-Louis, she was the biological daughter of the late Fidele and Marie (Landry) Fontaine and was adopted and raised by the late Francois and Georgina Maillet at a very young age.

Eveline will be sadly missed by her four daughters,  Anne-Marie Daigle of Saint-Louis, Francine Daigle of Saint-John, Celine Gallant (Alvin) of St-Ignace and Angele Daigle (Pierre Losier) of St-Louis; four sons, Jean-Paul (Diana) of Saint-John, Maurice (Yvette) of St-Louis, Leonce (Marguerite Richard) of St-Louis and Valmond (Viola Gautreau) of Rogersville; 12 grand-children, 11 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The last surviving member of her family, Eveline is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Daigle and her siblings, Alyre, Sister Marie-Anne, Livain, Antoine, Corinne, Adrienne, Adelard, Eda, Yvette, Ulysse, Antoine-Joseph et Elodie.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  Donations in Eveline’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Villa Maria.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
