Alphonse Comeau

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Alphonse Comeau 83, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on Monday, March 20, 2017. Born in Claire-Fontaine, NB he was the son of the late Joseph Comeau and late Celeste (McLaughlin) Comeau.  Before retiring, Alphonse was employed at Kouchibouguac National Park as a foreman for many years and was also a woodsman.  Alphonse enjoyed spending time on his farm, gardening and fishing.  He had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed him.

He will be sadly missed by the mother of his children, Raymonde Patrice of St. Louis; two daughters, Stella Patrice, Sylvia Patrice (Roger Babin) both of Aldouane; four grandchildren, Janelle, Mylene, Nicholas and Ryan.

He is also survived by six sisters, Delima Brown (late Frank) of Richibucto, Emely Daigle (late Cyriac) of St. Louis, Marie Mercier (Lewis) of Whitby, ON, Stella McKinnon (late Leo) of Richibucto, Anna Daigle (late Dolore) of St. Louis, Alexina Hebert (Benoit) of St. Louis; two brothers, Lazare Comeau (Eva) of Aldouane, Elzear Comeau (Geraldine) of St. Louis and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Irma, infant sister, Bibienne and three infant brothers, Jean-Baptiste, François and Aurêle.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9, Friday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church in Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
