Rene Richard
1939-2017
ALDOUANE, NB – René Richard 77, of Aldouane passed away suddenly at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Born in St. Charles, he was the son of the late Joseph Richard and late Anita (Daigle) Richard. René will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
René will be sadly missed by his wife, Anna (O’Brien) Richard of Aldouane; his daughter, Denise Robichaud (Aquilla) of Aldouane; his son, Hector Richard (Yvonne) of Ontario; three grandchildren, Brian (Jesse), Roger (Amy), Leanna (Marc-André) and three great grandchildren, Jordyn, Philip and Lucas.
He is also survived by one sister, Irene Richard of Shediac; one brother, Louis Richard (Ruth) of Rexton and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, René was predeceased by his loving first wife, Jeannette (Cormier) Richard; three sisters, Annette, Josephine, Alma and two brothers, John and André.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Tuesday at 10:30 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 12:30 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations in René’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
