Kathleen Flanagan

BEERSVILLE, NB – Kathleen Flanagan, 96 of Beersville passed away peacefully at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Bouctouche on Monday, May 22, 2017.  Born in Targettville, she was the daughter of the late Frank Donaher and Rhoda (Thompson) Donaher.  Kathleen was a member of the Clairville and Brown’s Yard Ladies Auxiliary, she loved to play newfie bingo, read and knit. 

Kathleen will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sylvia Thompson of Beersville; two sons, Donald Flanagan (Kim) of Chipman, Howard Flanagan (Marie Emelda) of Beersville; daughter-in-law, Edna Flanagan of Beersville; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. 

She is also survived by two sisters, Ethel Donaher (Vera) of Moncton, Essie Barnes (late Carl) of Moncton; two brothers, Joseph Donaher of Ste-Marie-de-Kent and Stuart Donaher (Yvonne) of Targettville; two sisters-in-law, Irene Donaher of Richibucto, Marlene Donaher of London, ON and several nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward Flanagan; one son, Lloyd; one sister, Dorothy and nine brothers, William, Patrick, Eddie, Hughie, George, Ambrose, Richard, Charlie and Robbie. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto officiated by the Reverend Christopher Ketch.  Interment will be in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Brown’s Yard.  Donations in Kathleen’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church or charity of the donor’s choice, would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, (523-4252).
