Gary Babin

REXTON, NB – It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Gary Babin, 66 of Rexton, NB.  He passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste. Anne de Kent on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 surrounded by his family.  He was the son of the Roger Babin and Rita (Blanchard) Babin. 

Gary will be sadly missed by his mother, Rita Babin of Rexton, his brother, Brian Babin (Jeanne) of Galloway; his sister, Karen Matchett (Lee) of Fredericton; nephew, Serge Babin (Kate); nieces, Rachel Thompson (Dwayne), Darla Anderson (Jeff), Candace Milburn (Scott); great nieces, Sabrina, Jade, Annabelle and great nephews, Caleb, Jaz and Zach. 

He was predeceased by his father, Roger and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

To honor Gary’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home or funeral service.  A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery in Rexton.  Donations in Gary’s memory may be made to your local food bank or local Red Cross. 

Gary’s family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Robichaud for his caring hand and all the medical nursing staff who cared so much for Gary during his lengthy stay.  He felt loved and cared for.  We are most grateful.
