Murray Hannah

REXTON, NB – Murray Hannah, 88, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Thursday, October 12th, 2017. Born in Rexton, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Irving) Hannah. Before retiring, Murray worked as a retail salesperson and also worked as administrator for the Dartmouth Medical Centre. He attended St. Andrew’s United Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.

Murray will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ruth (née Jardine); his daughter, Lynne Hannah (Jamie Burgess) of Tantallon, NS; two sons, Barry (Brenda) of Slave Lake, AB and Bruce of Enfield, NS; two grandsons, Nathan and Gavin Hannah; one sister, Beryl Soucy (late Ron) of Gander, NL; as well as by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Murray was predeceased by his two brothers, Irvie and Billy.

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto on Monday from 1:00pm until time of the service. A Masonic funeral service welcoming friends and family followed by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Claudia Keller will take place on Monday, October 16th, 2017 at 2:00pm, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto. Interment will take place at a later date at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton. Due to allergies, in lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer society or to the St. Andrew’s United Church would be appreciated by the family.
