John A. MacDonald

,JARDINEVILLE, NB -  John A. MacDonald 83, of Jardineville passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Monday, February 12, 2018.  Born in Jardineville, he was the son of the late David MacDonald and Mabel (Hannay) MacDonald.  Before retiring, John was employed at General Motors. 

John will be sadly missed by his daughter, Dawn Ellen (Eugene) of St. Catherines; sons, John David MacDonald of St. Catherines, Drew Sawyer (Karen) of Upper Rexton and many grand & great grandchildren. 

He is survived by two sisters, Marsha MacDonald (Ken); Winnie Wilson (Fred) both of South Branch and many nieces and nephews.   

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his wife, Edna (Campbell) MacDonald and one sister, Flora Sullivan. 

As per John’s wishes there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A celebration of John’s life will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
