Clement Alphée Daigle
1936-2018
MONCTON, NB – Clement Daigle 81, of Moncton passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Born in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Alphée Daigle and late Marie (Richard) Daigle. Before retiring, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator in Geraldton, ON.
Clement will be sadly missed by his wife, Rose-Marie (née Martin) Daigle of Moncton; two daughters, Nicole Daigle (John) of Cambridge, ON, Carole Faubert (Mike) of St. Louis; two sons, Daniel Daigle (Dusty) of Mississauga, ON, Charles Daigle of Geraldton, ON; one step-daughter, Charline Daigle (Mike) of Moncton; three step-sons, Jean-Claude Daigle of Moncton, Bernard Daigle (Janice) of Florida, Danny Daigle of Attleborough, MASS and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is also survived by four sisters, Antoinette Pellerin (late Emery) of Moncton, Yvonne Gauvin (late Aubin) of Dieppe, Aurore Gauvin (late Wilfred) of Moncton, Jeannette Leger (Onil) of Moncton; three brothers, Antoine Daigle (Alma) of Moncton, Tilmon Daigle (Elmonde) of Dieppe, Francois Daigle (Anna) of St. Ignace; sister-in-law, Gervaise Daigle (late Frederic) of Thunder Bay, ON and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Cécile (Vautour) Daigle; two sisters, Agnes Robichaud, Rosa Richard and three brothers, Fréderic, Joseph and Jacques.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 pm until time of the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Donations in Clement’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Diabetes Canada. The family would like to thank Dr. Darren Martin, the staff at the Moncton Hospital, Charline Daigle and the Extra Mural Nurses for the excellent care provided to Clement.
