Allison Dysart Campbell

FORDS MILLS, NB - Allison Dysart Campbell, 84, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne, on Thursday, March 8th, 2018 after battling COPD for many years. He was born in Bass River, NB and was the son of the late Murray and Ida (Spencer) Campbell.

Early in life, Allison began working in the woods with his father and later it was woods and mills for several years where many friends and stories were made. Trucking for many years and hobby farming became his passion. He loved his animals, especially the horses. Allison loved music; accordion and fiddle tunes as well as old country songs were his favorites. In later years, he spent many hours listening to his favorites.

Allison is survived by his wife, Susie (Morton); son, Randy (Susan); granddaughter, Meghan; sister, Irene Lawson (late Frank); brothers, Murray (Myrtle) and Wareham (Marilyn); sisters-in-law, Maisie Hicks (Delbert) and Cherry Fahey (Wayne); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Allison is predeceased by an infant brother, Vincent.

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto on Friday from 7-9pm. A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, March 17th, 2018 at 2:00pm, St. James Presbyterian Church, Beersville with Rev. A.D. (Sandy) Sutherland officiating.

If so desired, donations in Allison’s memory may be made to the St. James Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
