Yvonne Ida Babineau
1924-2018
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Yvonne Ida Babineau 93, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Villa Maria in Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Born in Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late Onezime Robichaud and late Gertrude (Mazerolle) Robichaud.
Yvonne Ida will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Lisette Babineau, Mariette Carter (Bill) both of St. Louis, Raymonde Thebeau (Adrien), Marcella Richard (Daniel) both of St. Ignace; three sons, Fernand Babineau (Marie-May), Hector Babineau, Roland Babineau (Bernice) all of St. Louis; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister, Fernande Carpenter (Miles) of Fredericton; two brothers, Jean-Baptiste Robichaud (Bernice) of Pointe-Sapin, Norbert Robichaud (Anne-Marie) of Ottawa and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Babineau; one sister, Lydia and seven brothers, Lionel, Eloi, Eve, Arthur, Onezime, Elmo and Hilaire.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Friday 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 am, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Donations in Yvonne Ida’s memory may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
