Albertine Guimond

ST. CHARLES, NB – Albertine Guimond 85, of St. Charles passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday, May 17, 2018.  Born in St. Charles, she was the daughter of the late Edmond Richard and late Josephine (Daigle) Richard. 

Albertine will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, Ernest Guimond of St. Charles; one daughter, Bernice Guimond of Quebec; five sons, Normand Guimond of Aldouane, Donald Guimond (Annette) of Rexton, Fernand Guimond (Rhea) of Aldouane, Yvon Guimond of Moncton, Rheal Guimond (Pauline) of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Marc, Mario, Samuel, Sebastien, Amelie and Zachary. 

She is also survived by two sisters, Marie-Louise Savoie (late Rufino) of St. Charles, Alma Daigle of Bouctouche and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters, Laurette, Evelyn, Emerise and Edith. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Monday from 7-9 pm, Tuesday at noon until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm, St. Charles Borromée Roman Catholic Church, St. Charles.  Donations in Albertine’s memory may be made to the Villa Maria or charity of the donor’s choice.  The family wish to express their a sincere thank you to the staff at the Villa Maria and to Dr. Josette Vautour for their kind and compassionate care of Albertine.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
