Adeline Richard

RICHIBUCTO, NB – It is with great sadness that the family of Adeline (Guimond) Richard announce her passing at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the age of 75.  Born in St-Olivier, NB on March 30, 1943 and she was the daughter of the late Urbain Guimond and late Célina (Fontaine) McKie.  Throughout her life, Adeline enjoyed singing and listening to music, taking care of plants, flowers, fish, cats, dogs and birds. 

Adeline will be sadly missed by her long time partner of 40 years, Cecil Kelly of Richibucto; two sons, Euclide Richard (Jennifer) of Indian Island, Paul Richard (Tina) of Oshawa, ON; one daughter, Rose-Anna Guimond (Paul) of Richibucto and three grandchildren, Randy, Brandon and Wendy. 

She is also survived by two brothers, Brian McKie of Miramichi, Kevin McKie (Darlene) of Fredericton; brother-in-law, Spencer Thibodeau; sister-in-law, Judy McKie of Kingsclear; special aunt, Rosanna Babineau; special uncle, Marcel Fontaine and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Delphis; one brother, Roy; one sister, Hazel. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Monday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:30 am at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto.  Donations in Adeline’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
