ACADIEVILLE – Therese Babineau, 94, passed away January 9th 2020 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Saint-Louis de Kent, she was the daughter of Basile and Josephine Richard
Therese was a lady of great faith and was dedicated to her family, friends and her community. She gave unconditionally through her Acadian cuisine, lending a hand, listening to others, as well as offering prayers for those in need.
Therese is survived by her two sons, Gerard of Acadieville, Marcel (Norma) of Chapel Point, her daughter Yolande (Guy) of Shortts Lake, NS, her two brothers, Fr. Gerard of Sherbrooke, Raymond (Aline) of Moncton and her sister-in-law Cecile (late Alphonse) of Shediac, and several nieces and nephews.
Therese was predeceased by her brother Mgr. Arsene Richard, her brother Alphonse (Cecile), her sister Irene (late Antoine) as well as her grand-son Kody Babineau.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Rambaran and all the staff of 2 west and palliative care at the Miramichi Regional Hospital for their professional and compassionate care during our mothers stay in the hospital. The family also would like to extend special thanks to her nieces Annette, Lise, Jeannine, Anita, Linda and her friends Louise, Jacqueline, Norma, Elva (just to name a few) for being at her side prior to her passing whether for friendship or helping with her care.
Visitation will take place at the Salle Andre Berube (basement of the Immaculate Conception Church in Acadieville) on January 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, 7:00 to 9:00 pm as well as January 18th from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
Funeral service will be held in Acadieville at the Immaculate Conception Church in Acadieville at 11:00 am on January 18th at 11:00 am. A gathering of family and friends, along with a meal will take place at eh Acadieville Community Centre following the funeral service.
