ELSIPOGTOG, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Joseph "Darren" Sanipass, 54 years old, at his home on Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Elsipogtog. He was a fisherman, hunter and a businessman. Darren loved his family and was a friend to many. He was a big sponsor of community sports and events.
Darren was the son of Mary Ann Clair and late Norman Peterpaul. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Nancy Sanipass; one daughter, Joella Dawn Augustine (Grant); one son, Joseph "Dray" Sanipass and six grandchildren, Payden, Ella, Joy, Jermaal, Blaid and Lance.
He is also survived by seven brothers, Donald Sanipass, George Clair Jr. (Kelley), Larry Michael (Loretta), Norman Peterpaul (Yvette), Irving Peterpaul, Shawn Peterpaul, Joe Sanipass (Marion); fourteen sisters, Nancy Clair (Hank), Brenda Clair, Elizabeth Clair (Roy), Andrea Peterpaul (Clayton), Amanda Peterpaul (Yale), Sophia Peterpaul (Melvin), Alicia Peterpaul, Georgina Peters (Herb), Connie Sanipass, Sheila Sock (Ronald), Anna Sanipass, Mary Catherine Sanipass, Claudia Sanipass, Margaret Ann Sanipass (Conrad) and also by many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Darren was raised by his late grandparents, John Sanipass and Mildred (Clement) Sanipass.
Besides his grandparents, he was predeceased by his father, Norman; one daughter, Monica Joy Sock and three brothers, Thomas Carl Sanipass, Alfred Sanipass and Don Bosco Sanipass.
Visitation will be held at 233 Big Cove Road in Elsipogtog beginning on Tuesday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required and 10 person maximum during visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held for immediate family members only on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 10:30 am, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Elsipogtog.
