Edgar Poirier
1948-2020
ST. IGNACE, NB – Edgar Poirier, 72, of St. Ignace passed away at home after a brief illness on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Edgar and Ella (Allain) Poirier. Before retiring, Edgar worked as an airport technician for Nav Canada.
Edgar leaves to mourn his wife Helen (née Johnson); his daughter, Amanda (Shannon) of Oromocto; three sisters, Angele MacDonald (late Barry) of Dartmouth, NS, Colombe Poirier (late Donald Magill) of Moncton and Gisele Babineau (Gabriel) of Dieppe; two brothers, Andre (Joyce) of St. Charles and Raymond (Wilma) of Richibucto, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Edgar is predeceased by two brothers, Jean-Guy and Gabriel and two half-brothers, Jean-Marie and Francois (Frank).
As per Edgars wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
