Sylvia Thompson

BEERSVILLE, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Sylvia Thompson, 73, of Beersville on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent.  Born in Beersville, she was the daughter of the late Edward Flanagan and late Kathleen Agnes (Donaher) Flanagan. Sylvia was a member of the Richibucto River Historical Society.

Sylvia will be sadly missed by her daughter, Valerie Thompson (Rodney) of Bass River; two sons, Ernie Edward Roberts (Kim) of Beersville, Lesley Wade Roberts (Colleen) of Bass River; eight grandchildren, Natasha, Robbie, Theresa, Trevor, Ricky, Shawn, Alayna, Scott and seven great grandchildren, Samara, Hope, Autumn, Star, Sterling, Harding, Declyn and her two cats, Muffin and Dusty. 

She is also survived by two brothers, Donald Gordon Flanagan (Kim) of Chipman, Howard Isaac Flanagan (Emelda) of Beersville; sister-in-law, Edna Flanagan of Coal Branch and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Roberts, her second husband, Larry William Thompson; one son, Howard Ricky Roberts and one brother, Lloyd Flanagan. 

MASKS ARE MANDATORY visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm (only).  A Funeral Service celebrating Sylvia’s life will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel in Richibucto on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
