Emery Thibodeau

BOUCTOUCHE, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Emery Thibodeau 75, of Bouctouche, (formerly of Richibouctou-Village) on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent. Born in Richibouctou-Village, he was the son of the late Edouard "Ned" Thibodeau and Léa (Allain) Thibodeau.  Emery worked as a mechanic for over 40 years but his true passion was music.  He loved playing guitar and singing at parties with family and friends. 

Emery leaves to mourn his love and best friend of 19 years, Marie-Josée Lopez; two daughters, Nancy Jaillet (Stéphane), Tammy Daigle (Stéphane); one step-daughter, Danika Lopez; one step-son, Kieren Lopez; three grandchildren, Shawn, Natacha, Maika; one great granddaughter, Nova and three step- grandchildren, Kiera, Bellamy and Keagan. 

He is also survived by the mother of his children, Dorca Thibodeau; two brothers, Raymond Thibodeau (Lynda), François Thibodeau (Florine); two sisters, Marie Currie (Paul), Yvonne Richard (late Normand) and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Léondre Thibodeau (late Loretta), Lionel Thibodeau (Rita) and two sisters, Jeanne Maillet (late Clovis) and Anna LeBlanc (late Hervé). 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Thursday, April 4, 2024 beginning at 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.  A Celebration of Emery’s life will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 after the visitation at the Richibouctou-Village Community Center.
