Frances (Hudson) Drover
1931-2024
MONCTON, NB - Frances Drover 92, of Moncton passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Born in Tucker Ridge, Maine she was the daughter of the late Fred McDonald and late Hattie (Tucker) McDonald. Before retiring, Frances was employed in food services for most of her life. She loved to cook and knit. She was a member of the Rexton Lions Club and the C.W.L.
Frances will be sadly missed by her son, Aaron Hudson (Sheila) of Moncton; step children, Fraser Drover Jr. (Stephanie) of NL, Joy Andrusiak of Sundown, Manitoba, Dennis Drover (Angie) of BC, Ken Drover (Anne) of BC, Stephen Drover (Tanya) of BC and several step-grandchildren.
She is also survived by four sisters, Catherine Hudson (late Tommy) of Galloway, Muriel Symes (late Mervin) of Smiths Corner, Charlotte LeBlanc (Euclide) of Fredericton, Barbara Preston (Ralph) of Moncton; one brother, Michael McDonald (Jean) of Saint-John; sister-in-law, Mereta McDonald of Moncton; in-laws, Carol Beers (late Terry) of South Branch, June Hebert (late Gordon) of AB, Allan & Gloria Hudson of Dieppe and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her 1st husband, Robert Hudson; 2nd husband, Fraser Drover; one infant granddaugher, Alexandra; three sisters, Mary, Ruth, Agnes; two brothers, Fred, Paul and in-law, Shirley Arsenault.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Wednesday from 7-9 pm, Thursday beginning at 9:00 am until time of the service. A celebration of Frances’s life will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10:30 am at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Richibucto. Donations in Frances's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family.
