ST. IGNACE,
NB – Sylvain Daigle 73, of St. Ignace passed away peacefully
at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital, Moncton on Wednesday,
May 16, 2012. Born in St. Ignace, he was the son of the late
Napoléon and Lydie (Babin) Daigle. Before retiring, Sylvain
was employed as a carpenter. He attended St. Ignace de Loyola Roman
Catholic Church.
Sylvain will
be sadly missed by his loving wife of 48 years; Carmel
(Léger) Daigle, two daughters; Marielle Martin of St.
Louis, Denise Doucette (Raymond) of St. Charles, one son; Marc Daigle
(Brenda) of Otisville, New York, four grandchildren; Jean, Allain,
Elise and Rachel.
Sylvain is
also survived by six sisters; Elmonde Richard (Odilon) of St. Ignace,
Emily Ouellet (Renald) of St. Lambert, QC, Louisa Steele (late Jim) of
Moncton, Bertha Thebeau (late Pierre) of Richibucto, Marie Anne
Johnson (late Eric) of St. Ignace, Roseline Richard (late Zoel) of St.
Louis, three brothers; Livain (late Jeannine) of Gardner, MASS,
Leopold (Stella) of Moncton, Arthur (Aldéa) of St. Louis
and several nieces and nephews.
Sylvain was
predeceased by four brothers; Edouard (Delia) of Gardner, MASS, Gerald
(late Yvette) of St. Ignace, Eloi of St. Ignace and Ovila (Rose-Marie)
of St. Ignace.
Resting at
Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Sunday
from 2-4 and 7-9, Monday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00 am, St.
Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St. Ignace. Interment will be
in the parish cemetery.
