Ethan Charles Hudson
1921-2014
EAST BRANCH, NB - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ethan C. Hudson, 93, of East Branch on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born March 22, 1921 in South Branch, he was the son of the late George and Catherine (McDonald) Hudson. Before retiring, Ethan was a farmer and a woodsman. He was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30, Richibucto and served overseas during WW II in the 23rd Field Company Royal Canadian Engineers.
Ethan is survived by his sons: Roger (Linda) and Steven (Moira) both of East Branch, daughter: Valerie Bateman (Michael) of Fords Mills and "special" granddaughter: Laura Hudson-Grant (Eric) of Ottawa, ON, grandchildren: Scott Hudson (Jen), Stephanie Hudson (Philippe), Christine Bateman, Geoffrey Bateman (Lindsay), great grandchildren: Caleb, Jaden, Kiara, Wyatt, Cayden, Kelsey, Ben and Russell and sister: Marguerite Little (late Russell), half-sister: Catherine Maillet (Aurele) and half-brothers: Leslie Woods (Freda), Brian Hudson (Irene) and Norman Hudson.
Besides his parents, Ethan was predeceased by his wife Nancy (Moore), his brothers: Willie, Lorne, Eldred, Bernard, Ivan, Emery, Raymond, his sisters: Janie Murphy, Mary Murphy, Eileen Stymiest, Rita LeBlanc and Patsy Theriault and great grandson: Jack Hudson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 am, St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, South Branch. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to any charity would be appreciated by the family.
