Ella Poirier

Moncton, NB - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ella Poirier, formerly of Richibucto, announce her passing on July 15, 2014 at the age of 94.  Born March 8, 1920 in Néguac, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Suzanne Allain.

Ella will be sadly missed by four sons, Edgar V. (Helen) of St. Ignace, Jean-Guy of Richibucto, André (Joyce) of Saint-Charles, Raymond (Wilma) of Richibucto; three daughters, Angèle (late Barry MacDonald) of Dartmouth, Colombe (late Donald Magill) of Moncton, Gisèle (Gabriel Babineau) of Dieppe; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by one sister, Cécile (late Odon Robichaud).

She was predeceased by her husband, J. Edgar Poirier; one son, Gabriel; two stepsons, Jean-Marie and François; one sister, Brigitte and two brothers, Léo and Lévis.

She was a member of the St-Louis-de-Gonzague Parish in Richibucto.

The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to the Extra-Mural and special thanks to Bertha, Brittany and Steffani of Kindred Home Care for the comfort and services provided over her last few months.

As per Ella's wishes, there will be no visitation and a private memorial service will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home at a later date.  Instead of flowers, donations to the Extra-Mural Program, Red Cross or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
