Peter D. Sock
1934-2014
ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Peter D. Sock 80, of Elsipogtog First Nation passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, Rexton on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Born in Big Cove, he was the son of the late David Sock and late Mary Jane (Augustine) Sock. Before retiring, Peter was employed at the Elsipogtog First Nation Band Office. He loved sports, volunteered his time coaching and he enjoyed playing hockey and baseball. He was a hardworking man, loved camping and having a pet.
Peter will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Bella (Peters) Sock; two daughters, Eva (Albert) and Marjorie; seven sons, Clifford (Cindy), Floyd (Christine), Herbie, Robert (Lauralee), Mervin (Cindy), Elmer (Fay), Travis (Martha) and Mark (Kachina); thirty-two grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, Malcolm and two brothers, Gilbert and Anthony.
Resting at 139 Levi Street, Elsipogtog with visitation beginning on Monday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 3:30 pm, Ste. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
