Archie Barlow
1927-2014
INDIAN ISLAND, NB - Archie Barlow 86, of Indian Island passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Thursday, August 28, 2014. Born in Indian Island, he was the son of the late John Peter Barlow and late Catherine (Johnson) Barlow. Archie was employed as a fisherman and carpenter. He was a community elder and a man that loved life and people.
Archie will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Jenny Barlow Sanipass (Gilbert) of Bouctouche, Vivian Barlow (Mark); three sons, Wendell Barlow, Kevin Barlow, Chief Ken Barlow (Natalie) all of Indian Island, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He is also survived by four sisters, Evangeline Sanipass of Indian Island, Mary Ann Brooks of Indian Island, Roseanne Nevin (Simon) of Indian Brook First Nation, Anne Barlow (Pat) of Indian Island.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary T. (Paul) Barlow; one son, John Peter Barlow, one daughter, Jean Marie Barlow, three brothers, Peter, Wilfred and Wilson and three sisters, Mary-Jane, Margaret and Rachel.
Resting at his home, 129 Island Drive, Indian Island beginning on Sunday at 10:00 am until time of the Funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church, Indian Island. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
