Aquilla Doucet

RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB - Aquilla Doucet 68, of Richibouctou-Village, NB passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital, Moncton on Saturday, September 13, 2014.  Born in Claire-Fontaine, he was the son of the late Amédée Doucet and Charlotte( McLaughlin) Doucet.  Before retiring, Aquilla was employed as a custodian at the New Start Building for Service New Brunswick. 

Aquilla will be sadly missed by his mother, Charlotte Doucet of St. Louis de Kent; one daughter, Chantal Doucet of St. Charles and one son, Stephane Doucet of Bouctouche. 

He is also survived by two brothers, Léo-Paul Doucet (Rose-Marie Nowlan) of Richibucto, Jean-Pierre Doucet (Rachelle Robichaud) of Richibouctou-Village; four sisters, Irene (David Plourde) of Moncton, Yolande (Bruce Marshal) of Saint John, Jocelyn (Murray Jarvis) of Saint John, Charline (Danny Breau) of California, aunts Henriette and Loda, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was predeceased by his wife, Marie-Rose (Chevarie) Doucet, father Amédée Doucet and three brothers, Gerald, Leonce and Gerard. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto on Wednesday from 7-9, Thursday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral.  A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto.  Interment will be held in the St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Ignace.
