John Michael Williams

MONCTON, NB - Family and friends of John Michael Williams are deeply saddened by his death on October 7, 2014 at the Moncton City Hospital.  He fought a long hard battle with cancer. Born in Saint John, NB on March 9, 1948, the Seventh Son of the Seventh Son, Donald Norman Williams and Stella Mae Ferguson.

Although he studied Auto Body at NBCC he preferred to work outside in the Paving Industry all his life for such companies as TriGil, MacArthurs and Atlantic Custom.

Among his interests were golfing, pool, bowling, speed skating and sitting around the fire on Treasure Island.

He is survived by brother, Theodore (Ted); sister-in-law Kate; daughters,  Jennifer Wylie, Kellie Waycott (John), grandchildren Trever Finck, Jesse Finn (Anthony Hibbs), Kurtis Waycott, great granddaughter Bailey Hibbs and several nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his soul mate Linda Colpitts-Pratt, step children, Jody Pratt (Becky) and Carrie Garvin (Jim); step-grandchildren Billy and Emily Pratt and Isabella Garvin; brother and sister-in-law Greg and Wendy Colpitts and Matthew and Trevor and many very special friends. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Douglas, Ronald, Norman, Ross, Kenneth and wife Carol Ann Dorey.

A Celebration of Life will be held as per his wishes Saturday October 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm on Treasure Island.  Donations may be made in his honour to the Palliative Care Unit of the Moncton City Hospital.
