Delphin Vautour

ST. IGNACE, NB - Delphin Vautour 91, of St. Ignace passed away peacefully at La Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.  Born in St. Ignace, he was the son of the late Alphonse Vautour and late Ruphine (Gallant) Vautour.  Before retiring, Delphin was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Department of Transportation for 28 years.  

Delphin will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 67 years Juliana (Comeau) Vautour of St. Ignace; one daughter, Eva Gionet (Fernand) of St. Ignace; five sons, Eric Vautour (Edna) of Dieppe, Gilles Vautour (Violette) of Bromont, QC, Régis Vautour (Blanche) of Sussex, Réjean Vautour (Joan) of Thetford Mines, QC, Maurice Vautour of St. Ignace; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. 

He is also survived by four sisters, Lydie (late André), Sr. Eleanore, Gemma (late Gerard), Marie (late Aurèle); two brothers, Eddie (late Obeline), Camille (Claira) and many nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by two daughters, infant Roberte and Roberte, three sisters, Edna, Sr. Zélia, Laurianne and three brothers, Arthur, François and Ernest. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent beginning on Monday evening from 7-9, Tuesday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 11:00 am, St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St. Ignace.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Donations in Delphin's memory may be made to La Villa Maria - Palliative Care and would be appreciated by the family.  The family wishes to thank Dr. André Boucher and the staff at La Villa Maria for their kind and compassionate care of Delphin.   (Kindly be advised of a scent free environment during the visitation and funeral Mass - no flowers, perfumes or scented products please).
