Edith Cormier

ACADIEVILLE, NB - Edith Cormier 97, of Acadieville passed away peacefully at La Villa Maria, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Sunday, October 12, 2014.  Born in Acadieville, she was the daughter of Frederic Bordage and Madeleine (Guimond) Bordage.  She attended the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Acadieville. 

Edith will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Edna Johnson (Cyprien) of Acadieville, Ida Chevarie (George) of St. Ignace, Thérèse Goguen (Réjean) of Irishtown; seven sons, François of Acadieville, Antoine of Bouctouche, Alfred (Rosa) of Gardner, MASS, Arthur (Julianna) of Acadieville, Léo (Doris) of Bouctouche, Raymond (Eva) of Moncton, Donald (Janice) of Acadieville, twenty-three grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. 

She is also survived by one sister, Corinne c.n.d. of Quebec; three brothers, Arthur (late Marie) of Saint John, Emile (Thérèse) of Saint John, Louis (Rita) of Acadieville and many nieces and nephews. 

Edith was predeceased by her husband, Edmond Cormier; one son, Dollard; brothers, Elzéar, Luc, Eddie, François, Alban, Lionel, Adrice, infant Eric, Adrice, Alfred and one sister, Emilienne. 

Resting at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Acadieville with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Wednesday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 5:00 pm, Immaculate Conception Church, Acadieville.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
