Anita Savoie (Hebert)

POINTE-SAPIN, NB - It is with deep sorrow that the Hebert family announces the passing of Anita Savoie (Hebert) on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at The Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, NB after a brief battle with cancer.  Anita passed away peacefully with her family and friends at her side.  Born in Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late Walter Savoie and late Edith (Mazerolle) Savoie.  Anita graduated with her diploma from Le Couvent de St. Louis then continued her education at Oulton's College in Moncton.  She had a lengthy career as a librarian at local schools until her retirement.  Anita attended St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Pointe-Sapin, NB. 

Anita will be sadly missed by her three sons, Eugene (Kim) of Miramichi, Réjean (Penny) of Pointe-Sapin, Philip (Loretta) of Saint Charles; six grandchildren, Lisa (Jonathan), Nathalie (Jesse), Nicole (Jean-Yves), Daniel, Cody (Kim), Dannie Lynn and three great grandchildren, Allysa, Adele and Sawyer. 

She is also survived by one sister, Lauzia (Arsene), niece Charlene (Armand) and nephews Dean and Darren (Viola). 

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her common law husband, Mederick Comeau and one son, Guy. 

Resting at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Pointe-Sapin with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Tuesday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11:00 am, St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.  Donations in Anita's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
