Rita Augustine

ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Rita Augustine 85, of Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Saturday, February 14, 2015.  Born in Big Cove, she was the daughter of the late John Simon and late Mary Jane (Levy) Simon.  She attended St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Elsipogtog.  She was a member of the C. W. L. and the Royal Canadian Legion. 

Rita will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Sandra Anne Warner, Mary Lorraine Augustine-Clair, Rosie Rita Augustine (Adrien); five sons, Stephen Augustine (Liz), Nelson Augustine, Patrick Augustine (Margaret), Karl Wayne Augustine (Zelda), Basil John Augustine; thirty grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. 

She is also survived by one sister, Freda May Augustine; two brothers, Stephen Simon, Herman Simon and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Augustine; one son, Joe Edmond; two granddaughters Cherro Francis, Tiffany Rose Sanipass; one great granddaughter, Jessie River Lynn Francis-Leger; three sisters, Barbara Peters, Martha Todd, Dora May Simon and three brothers, William John Simon, Abraham Simon and Joe Harry Simon. 

Resting at 51 Maple Street, Elsipogtog beginning on Monday at 6:00 pm until time of the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 11:00 am, St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog.
