Mac Roach
1949-2015
MAIN RIVER, NB - McDermott Robert "Mac" Roach 65, of Main River passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, Rexton on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Born in Targetville, he was the son of the late James Roach and late Bridget (McDermott) Roach. Mac was considered a "Jack of All Trades" working as a carpenter, mechanic, woodsman and a mason.
Mac will be sadly missed by his daughter, Darcy Agnew (Adam) of Moncton; son, Travis Roach of Bass River; six grandchildren, Bailey, Dylan, Owen, Gracie, Brooklynn & Emma.
Mac is also survived by sisters, Geraldine, Betty, Norma, Bertie, Carmel, Joanne, Rose Jean, Theresa, Peggy and two brothers, Jimmy, Hughie and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ernestine and brothers, Urvan, Tommy, Ivan & Raymond.
Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Tuesday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:00 am, Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton. Interment will be in the Chapel Point Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Mac's memory may be made to the Chapel Point Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund or charity of the donor's choice.
