Roy Babin

REXTON, NB - It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Roy Babin 83, of Rexton, NB at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Sunday, April 12, 2015.  Born in Rexton, he was the son of the late Clovis Babin and late Alice (Sawyer) Babin.  Before retiring, Roy was employed at the Department of Transportation as a Heavy Equipment Operator for  32 years.  He was a member of the Rexton Lions Club, Richibucto Golden Age Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 30.  He attended the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Rexton 

Roy will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Hazel (Wood) Babin; one daughter, Dawn Mundle (Marven) of Moncton; one son, Mark Babin (Nancy) of Rexton and his four precious granddaughters, Melanie, Lindsey, Melissa and Tiffany. 

He is also survived by two sisters, Theresa Allain (Roland) of Rexton, Annie Griffin (late Lyle) of Moncton and one brother, Edmond  Babin (Marie) of Rexton.

He was predeceased by one sister, Clarinda Scully and two brothers, Henry and Roger Babin.

Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 am, Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic, Rexton.  Interment will be held in the parish cemetery at a later date.  Donations in Roy's memory may be made to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre Dialysis Unit or charity of the donor's choice.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
