Simon Babineau

CHOCKPISH, NB - Simon Babineau, 74, of Chockpish, NB, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Born in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Jean-Baptiste and late Elise (Hébert) Babineau. Before retiring, Simon was employed as a fisherman for 63 years.

He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Simonne Richard (Louis) of Richibouctou-Village, Elise Richard (Gilles) of Dieppe; two sons, Donald Babineau (Phyllis) of Moncton, Denis Babineau (Toby) of Richibouctou-Village; Annette Babineau the mother of his children; four grandchildren, Natalie, Josée, Julien, Jacob.

Simon is also survived by one sister, Zoé Allain (Guy) of Ste-Anne-de-Kent; three brothers, George Babineau (Nadine) of Pirogue, Rosario Babineau of Notre-Dame, Normand Babineau (Lydia) of Richibouctou-Village and several nieces and nephews.

Simon was predeceased by one sister, Rose-Marie Robichaud and one brother, Gerald Babineau.

As per Simon's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held at his son Denis home on Saturday, May 2nd 2015 at 2:00 pm at 141 Richibouctou-Village Road, Richibouctou-Village, NB. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto, 523-4252.
